Founded in 1991, the Los Gatos Brewing Company's local owners and visionaries (they made us say that) saw the need to quench the growing thirst for new microwbrews in the quaint Town of Los Gatos . These pioneers didn't want to open just a "brew pub", but rather a fine microbrewery and restaurant serving great beers and the freshest and finest in California cuisine.

News of the new "Diners Pub" and our award-winning beers spread quickly - and today, the Los Gatos Brewing Company enjoys a virtual worldwide reputation. Our distinct beer label logo has been seen on hats and T-shirts around the world, thus positioning both the Town of Los Gatos and Los Gatos Brewing Company a worldwide phenomenon.

Today we have two locations to serve you - our original Los Gatos location, and now at San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose. Who knows, if our concept continues to grow, we may serve our beers and great food not just in Los Gatos and San Jose, but beyond.

Meetings, Wedding Dinners, & Banquets
Los Gatos Brewing Co has several spaces available for Private Dining. We have converted the historic Paul Masson champagne cellars into large private dining rooms that can service your event. As well, outdoor garden dining is available on our trellised garden patio (weather permitting).

Our goal is to provide large parties with the same four-star service and quality that is given on the main dining room floor. If you are interested in booking a date, please call as soon as possible. Our Chef & Brewmaster
Executive Chef and Partner Jim Stump has been in the food service business for over 30 years. Graduating from the California Culinary Academy with "Outstanding Merit", Stump has cooked at some of the Bay Area's most acclaimed restaurants - Fleur de Lys and the Blue Fox in San Francisco, Santa Clara's Birk’s Restaurant, Saratoga's Le Mouton Nior and the Los Gatos Brewing Company. Jim has won numerous prestigious awards and 4 star reviews for his work and has appeared regularly on television and radio programs teaching his techniques.

Our Brewmaster, Kent Wheat (great last name for a prime ingredient in his beer making) is a native Californian. Kent's 15-year interest in the art and science of beer making led him to complete the American Brewer's Guild Craftbrewer program in Vermont. Today, and most every day you'll find Kent in the brewery, artfully placing his fine finish on one of our award-wining beers. Should you see him (he's the one wearing the galoshes) don't hesitate to visit and ask about the brewing process, and of course, his beers.

Our Beers
LEXINGTON LAGER
Brewed with the pure waters from Los Gatos' Lexington hills, this straw-colored lager has a floral nose and a snappy hop bitterness followed by a clean barley malt finish.

HUE HEFE
Our inspired German-style Hefeweizen wheat beer has a traditional lazy golden yeast hue. It's clove-like aroma combines with a hint of banana. Slightly bittersweet, yet soft to the palate.

THE OKTOBERFEST
For those with a wanderlust for taste, Los Gatos Brewing Company's famous smooth amber lager has a caramel roastiness with a toasted malt soft finish. One of our most popular brews.

SAN PEDRO PALE ALE
In celebration of our San Pedro Square location, we created this very special medium bodied, orange-colored ale with a floral hoppy nose supported by a clean bitterness and a solid malt backbone.

SPECIAL SEASONAL BREWS
Like the seasons, we also change our special brews. We're proud to pour both seasonal and local favorites keeping pace with changing times and your changing tastes. Please ask your server what we’re pouring today.
