Description
2009 BEST OF SILICON VALLEY Reader Survey Winner - First Place
Best Pizza Independent
Here's the truth about New York pizza, and trust us, we know what we're talking about, OK? The truth is, there's nothing to it. California pizza is decorated with zany combinations and sauces whatever. New York pizza is good dough, good cheese and good sauce. Period. Some pepperoni, some sausage, some mushrooms, fine. You want fancy pizza? Go somewhere else. You want real pizza? This is the place.
2008 BEST OF SILICON VALLEY Reader Survey Winner - First Place Best Pizza With the thin crusts and all the memorabilia hanging from the walls, this place is as close to the Big Apple as you’ll find on Stevens Creek Boulevard. Any place that posts mug shots of customers who’ve been 86ed is worth the price of admission alone. Bring back the Cosmos! — Metro, Silicon Valley's Weekly Newspaper, September 24, 2008 2008 BEST OF SILICON VALLEY Reader Survey Winner - Third Place Late-Night Eats With the thin crusts and all the memorabilia hanging from the walls, this place is as close to the Big Apple as you’ll find on Stevens Creek Boulevard. Any place that posts mug shots of customers who’ve been 86ed is worth the price of admission alone. Bring back the Cosmos! — Metro, Silicon Valley's Weekly Newspaper, September 24, 2008 2007 BEST OF SILICON VALLEY Best New Restaurant Started by a former Silicon Valley techie, A Slice of New York brings more than just a slice of the Big Apple to the South Bay. It's the whole pie. There's great thin-crust pizza, of course, as well as calzones, strombolis and meatball sandwiches. All the NYC memorabilia adds to the appeal of this one-of-a-kind place. — Metro, Silicon Valley's Weekly Newspaper, September 26, 2007 Best Pizza This no-nonsense pizza joint does everything right: The crust is thin and crisp with just enough chewiness in the right places. The tomato sauce is tart and flavorful and applied with restraint and the rich, chewy mozzarella cheese ties it all togther. You gotta also like that they post pictures of banned customers. No pizza for you! — Metro, Silicon Valley's Weekly Newspaper, September 26, 2007 "New York pizza doesn't get any better than this" — San José Mercury News - The Eye, February 1, 2007
